Most of the male munchkin costume was made out of heavily altered thrift store clothes and the female costume was loosely based on a cinderella dress pattern. The shoes are just felt and quilt batting that I hot-glued to a couple of pairs of old shoes. Her hat is a small lamp shade turned upside down, painted and then a bunch of craft flowers were glued in to give it that flower pot look. The yellow stuff in my hair and facial hair is called hair candy. It comes out, but its a bit messy. 
Overall, it took up evenings and weekends for about two and a half weeks.
